ParadoX ....

By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest

The harder you work, the luckier you g

I hear, I know. I see, I remember. I do, I understand

Act with kindness, but do not expect gratitude

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence

Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall

Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart

Study without reflection is a waste of time; reflection without study is dangerous

Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life

If you want to see what your friends and family think of you, die broke, and see who comes to your funeral

Life is a sum of all your choices

Life is not an exact science, it is an art

Life is a progress, and not a station

It has been said that we need just three things in life: Something to do, Something to look forward to And someone to love

The great end of life is not knowledge but action

All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence; then success is sure

Parents can only give good advice or put them on the right paths, but the final forming of a person's character lies in their own hands

We learn not in the school, but in life

Life is a gift of the immortal Gods, but living well is the gift of philosophy

Life is like music; it must be composed by ear, feeling, and instinct, not by rule

The more sand that has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it

There are three kinds of intelligence: one kind understands things for itself, the other appreciates what others can understand, the third understands neither for itself nor through others. This first kind is excellent, the second good, and the third kind useless

Since it is difficult to join them together, it is safer to be feared than to be loved when one of the two must be lacking

If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared

And if, to be sure, sometimes you need to conceal a fact with words, do it in such a way that it does not become known, or, if it does become known, that you have a ready and quick defense

The question is, then, do we try to make things easy on ourselves or do we try to make things easy on our customers whoever they may be?

One who deceives will always find those who allow themselves to be deceived

There is no other way of guarding oneself against flattery than by letting men understand that they will not offend you by speaking the truth; but when everyone can tell you the truth, you lose their respect

A wise man will see to it that his acts always seem voluntary and not done by compulsion, however much he may be compelled by necessity

Of mankind we may say in general they are fickle, hypocritical, and greedy of gain

The fact is that a man who wants to act virtuously in every way necessarily comes to grief among so many who are not virtuous
There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct or more uncertain in its success than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things

Let no one oppose this belief of mine with that well-worn proverb: 'He who builds on the people builds on mud

The promise given was a necessity of the past: the word broken is a necessity of the present

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by the sense of touch, because everyone can see, but only a few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are, and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion

Whosoever desires constant success must change his conduct with the times

Hatred is gained as much by good works as by evil

It is better to be bold than too circumspect, because fortune is of a sex which likes not a tardy wooer and repulses all who are not ardent

There is nothing more difficult to carry out, nor more doubtful of success, nor more dangerous to handle, that to institute a new order of things

When you disarm your subjects you offend them by showing that either from cowardliness or lack of faith, you distrust them; and either conclusion will induce them to hate you

We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love

Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired
It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving

There is a higher court than courts of justice and that is the court of conscience. It supercedes all other courts

An ounce of practice is worth more than tons of preaching

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problems

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong

You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind

If you have no character to lose, people will have no faith in you

Live as if your were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever

An eye for an eye would make the whole world blind

Nearly everything you do is of no importance, but it is important that you do it

Satisfaction lies in the effort, not in the attainment, full effort is full victory

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony

Whenever you are confronted with an opponent. Conquer him with love

Love is the strongest force the world possesses, and yet it is the humblest imaginable

Live as if your were to die tomorrow

Just as the body cannot exist without blood, so the soul needs the matchless and pure strength of faith

It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win

When I admire the wonder of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in worship of the Creator

Infinite striving to be the best is man's duty; it is its own reward. Everything else is in God's hands

You may never know what results come of your action, but if you do nothing there will be no result

Whatever you do may seem insignificant, but it is most important that you do it

A man with a grain of faith in God never loses hope, because he ever believes in the ultimate triumph of Truth

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will
To believe in something, and not to live it, is dishonest

Joy lies in the fight, in the attempt, in the suffering involved, not in the victory itself

Your capacity to keep your vow will depend on the purity of your life

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others

If we have listening ears, God speaks to us in our own language, whatever that language be

The good man is the friend of all living things

Action expresses priorities

Don't listen to friends when the Friend inside you says 'Do this

There is nothing that wastes the body like worry, and one who has any faith in God should be ashamed to worry about anything whatsoever

Action is no less necessary than thought to the instinctive tendencies of the human frame

My life is my message

The mice which helplessly find themselves between the cats' teeth acquire no merit from their enforced sacrifice

Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well

A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the prerogative of the brave

I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings. My wisdom flows from the Highest Source. I salute that Source in you. Let us work together for unity and love

Man should forget his anger before he lies down to sleep

Faith becomes lame, when it ventures into matters pertaining to reason

A 'NO' uttered from deepest conviction is better and greater than a 'YES' merely uttered to please, or what is worse, to avoid trouble

There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed

The law of love could be best understood and learned through little children

It is unwise to be too sure of one's own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err

=====================================

Inspiration exists, but it has to find us working

Few can foresee whither their road will lead them, till they come to its end

Who gossips with you will gossip of you

Life is a sum of all your choices

While there's life, there's hope

When you wish to instruct, be brief; that men's minds take in quickly what you say, learn its lesson, and retain it faithfully. Every word that is unnecessary only pours over the side of a brimming mind
